Cianna Reeves
Cianna Reeves, a Mississippi native, started her professional career as a local broadcast journalist covering news across politics, community affairs, and entertainment in the heart of Jackson. From reporting on the COVID-19 crisis and local elections to interviewing Mississippi’s talented artists, politicians, and community members about life in the Magnolia State, Cianna prides herself on telling stories that center around the community.
Through her commitment to fairness and accurate reporting, she contributed to the success of driving awareness to some of the most pressing local issues on a national scale. Cianna also served as co-anchor for the station’s first-ever digital newscast, Digital Digest, which focused on offering younger audiences a consumable way to stay aware of the latest news.
Following her three-year journey as a reporter, Cianna realized that her passion for storytelling extended beyond the newsroom. This discovery led her to venture into corporate communications, allowing her to combine her strategic lens, cultural aptitude, and digital native skills to help business executives navigate the evolving landscape of communications.
Cianna is a respected, award-winning former journalist and a strategic communicator specializing in content writing, digital marketing, public relations, media relations, and social media management.
She earned her bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Media Studies at Jackson State University and her master’s degree in Integrated Marketing Communications at Northwestern University. She is also a proud member of the National Association of Black Journalists and Northwestern Medill IMC Black Alumni Alliance.
Beyond her professional career, Cianna enjoys spending quality time with family and friends and exploring new adventures.
