“Shortly after his seventh birthday, Benjamin Burke visited his pediatrician for a suspected ear infection.
The Glen Ellyn youngster later was diagnosed with something far worse – T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia, a type of leukemia that starts from white blood cells in the bone marrow. For the past two years, Benjamin has been receiving treatment at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago.
Benjamin, now 9, and his family are thankful for the help he has received. This holiday season, Benjamin collected and presented 1,200 gift cards to patients at Lurie Children’s Hospital.”
