As if we Chicagoans needed another reason to love our hometown team, the Cubs have released a video as part of the “It Gets Better” campaign that helps support LGBT youth and combat bullying.

Cubs co-owner Laura Ricketts (who is one of the first openly gay pro-sports team owners), manager Mike Quade, first base coach Bob Dernier, and players Ryan Dempster, Marlon Byrd and Darwin Barney all take part in the minute long video that calls for an end to anti-LGBT harassment and supports important groups like the Trevor Project. The Cubs are only the second professional sports team, after the San Francisco Giants, to take part in the video campaign.
