DuPage County is doing a pretty decent job of adopting environmentally friendly policies and practices, according to an appointed body that sees the world through green-colored glasses. But there’s always room for improvement.

At the request of County Board Chairman Dan Cronin, members of the Environmental Commission are working on a set of goals intended to build on recent advances in the policies addressing procurement, reduced energy use, recycling, resource conservation and other measures that stand to shrink the county’s carbon footprint.
