“Chicago attorney Dylan Smith, a former federal prosecutor, says the government is following the Constitution. But Apple, that’s assisted in the past, believes the government has gone too far in this case.

“ ‘The government has a search warrant for this particular cell phone used by Mr Farook .. and in fact that cell phone is owned by his employer,” Smith said. “We’re not dealing with privacy that’s a constitutional concern, what is really at issue is the government’s request that Apple assist the government in getting that the court has said is entitled to access.’ ”
