Mark Wight, CEO of Wight & Company, was a major donor for a new exhibit honoring the life and career of former state’s attorney and DuPage County native, William J. Bauer:
In 2011, a group consisting of Schillerstrom, retired DuPage County Circuit Judge Ted Duncan, retired state Supreme Court Justice S. Louis Rathje, former DuPage Water Commission Chairman Joel Herter and Mark Wight, chairman and CEO of Downers Grove architectural firm Wight & Company, raised nearly $50,000 to pay for a statue of Bauer, which today stands outside the building. Schillerstrom said the group then began working to raise funds for the exhibit.
