Rosemont girl battles rare neurological disorder
Family, friends and community members are raising money for a Rosemont girl battling a rare neurological disorder.
Kate Gulo, who turns 2 in April, was diagnosed last month with opsoclonus myoclonus syndrome, which affects only 1 in 10 million people every year. For some of those who have the syndrome, the body creates antibodies to fight neuroblastoma, a cancerous tumor, but sometimes they get confused and attack the brain.
