Students at West Aurora High School recently hosted a dance marathon to raise funding for the Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital:
“Schrope was “absolutely confident” the $10,000 goal would be reached and based on the number of students sporting T-shirts during the opening hour of the dance marathon, her prediction appeared to be on track.
In fact, the students did meet the goal, raising $10,084.
Evelyn Torres and Caroline Valenzuela, both 17 and juniors at West Aurora, said they were each looking for a fun night and a way to help kids.”
