The hotel across from Wrigley Field will be named to honor stadium’s original architect:
“A new hotel the owners of the Chicago Cubs are building across the street from Wrigley Field will have a subtle nod to the Friendly Confines in its name.
Hickory Street Capital, the Ricketts family-owned venture behind the Wrigleyville project, announced today that the 175-room, 238,000-square-foot venue will be dubbed Hotel Zachary, paying homage to Wrigley Field architect Zachary Taylor Davis.
The hotel, under construction across Clark Street from the ballpark and slated to open in early 2018, will feature restaurants and local retail outlets, the developers announced today.
Hickory Street said it has partnered with four Chicago-based restaurant operators for the project: One Off Hospitality Group, 4 Star Restaurant Group, Folkart Restaurant Management and Fifty/50 Restaurant Group.”
